Twitter announced on Thursday that  they will be launching brand pages which will

compete against facebook and Google+ pages soon.

According to AdAge the launch partners for the pages include American Express,

Best Buy, Bing, Chevrolet, Coca-Cola, Dell, Disney, General Electric, Hewlitt-

Packard, Intel, JetBlue, Kia, McDonald’s, Nike, PepsiCo, Staples, Verizon

Wireless, NYSE Euronext, Heineken, Subway and Paramount Pictures, specifically

for the release of Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol.

Some Facts about Twitter Brand Pages according to AdAge :

* Brands can choose to keep a particular tweet at the top of their timeline.

* Brand pages will let advertisers customise their headers to make their logo

and tagline more prominent

* The new design also lets brands separate their @ replies and mentions
